Inspiring Tunisian to-be entrepreneurs and architects

A delegation of business and architecture students from the University of Tunis Carthage, the Republic of Tunisia, led by Director of External Relations Kathy Bailey has toured uSky Test & Certification Centre following their visit to the world exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai to get familiar with the features of innovative uSky Transport and Infrastructure and architecture.

Delegations are just first stage of cooperation. At this moment there are already ongoing more than 5 – 10 targeted projects in different countries. They are not disclosed yet due to trade secrets.

The Tunisian visitors were introduced to uSky Transport office, an eco-friendly and sustainable green uHouse, the only one throughout the United Arab Emirates completely built of wood. Wooden houses are a more ecological and economic alternative than homes made of traditional brick and concrete. Wood is not only a part of nature, but its use is beneficial for the environment, too. That said, uHouse meets all fire safety standards, and the eco-architecture of the office follows world trends and standards.

The students explored a high-speed uFlash with an integrated multimedia system and a capacity of 6 paх capable of travelling on uSky overpasses at 500 km/h and featuring aerodynamic characteristics surpassing those of such a supercar like Bugatti Veyron.

At uSky Transport office, students were demonstrated a model of a linear city and explicated various types of track structures including flexible, semi-rigid, and rigid as well as different types of electric vehicles (top-mounted and suspended).

The students were also shown the uSky rail, which is an important part of uSky Technology.

From uHouse office, the students contemplated the scene of uSky Test & Certification Centre laid before them with the certified Track 1 and Track 4 incorporating Cargo & Passenger Station and Cargo & Passenger Terminal already complete in terms of civil works.

The visitors were also raising questions about the safety of uSky transport system. The certification of electric vehicles is a key measure to ensure compliance with safety requirements and high standards. Electric vehicle uCar is equipped with an evacuation system, which aids passengers leaving the uPod in a rapid and safe way, and an emergency towing device that allows one to tow the EV to the service station for maintenance if need be.

The certified tropical uCar, an energy-efficient and truly green electric vehicle designed for urban and intercity traffic and adapted to work in a hot climate, aroused great interest among guests from Tunisia, a queue of people wishing to take a test ride in the innovative vehicle formed at uSky passenger station.

From the passenger station, the guests headed to the service station, where uSky operator-cum-engineer introduced them to the features of the control system, and also demonstrated the suspended container module uCont in motion.

uSky cargo complexes can transport cargo up to 100 million tons per year and have several advantages over the conventional cargo transportation industry:

  • applicability in regions with difficult terrain that are hard to pass, water barriers, and massive buildings;
  • feasibility of track laying along the shortest path;
  • high environmental friendliness;
  • energy efficiency;
  • low costs for track structure;
  • full automation of loading and unloading operations, etc.

Concluding the tour at uSky Test & Certification Centre, uSky Transport representatives delivered the presentation and handed over to Mrs. Kathy Bailey the autobiography by Dr. Anatoli Unitsky „The Engineer“, in which the Founder and General Designer openly narrates the story of the development of the original concept of uSky transport, tells about the goals that he was guided by and the difficulties he had to face.

Thrilled by the tour at uSky Test & Certification Centre, future entrepreneurs and architects enthusiastically discussed uSky Transport projects, imagining how uSky Technology can change people’s perception of transport mobility, while respecting the environment and delicately integrating into any landscape and architecture.
